Parliament has officially established its Portfolio Committees for the 2025–2030 term. The announcement was made by the Speaker, Right Honourable Sameer Gaffar Suleman, who confirmed the election of Chairpersons and Vice Chairpersons for 15 key committees.
Among the elected leaders is Hon. Bilal Mussa Tambuli, who now serves as:
Vice Chairperson – Trade, Industry & Tourism Committee
This strategic position places him at the center of efforts to promote industrial growth, strengthen trade systems, and expand tourism as a key driver of national development.
His appointment reflects his strong track record in economic diplomacy, community empowerment, and policy leadership.
Other committees constituted during the session include Agriculture, Budget, Education, Legal Affairs, Natural Resources, Public Accounts, Health, Transport & Infrastructure, Media & ICT, and others.
The Speaker congratulated all committee leaders, urging them to serve with professionalism, diligence, and integrity. The confirmation marks the beginning of substantive parliamentary oversight and governance work for the new term.
